Pizazzy Flamingo Bingo


The Daily Sentinel recently attended a ribbon cutting for the Knights of Pythias, Lanana Lodge #106, (936) 559-1169.

Grand Vice Chancellor Joe Bennett and Prelate John Bard welcomed Chamber members and guests to the event held in the Flamingo Bingo hall. Bingo is just one avenue of fund raising for the Knights of Pythias and their related orders. The money collected stays in Nacogdoches County and benefits charities and organizations such as the Boy Scouts and The Women's Crisis Center.

Fun jump for Leadership Skills

Leadership Nacogdoches ends on a high note Thursday as facilitator Tim Clipson leaps to the conclusion of the 2006-07 program.

Clipson helped lead nine of the 14 classes since the program’s inception in the late 1980s. The 23-member class began a one-day-per-month program of community involvement and learning in August 2006 and held a graduation ceremony Thursday evening, May 10.

Leadership Nacogdoches is a program of the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce, and will begin taking applications for the 2008-09 program in July 2008.

Nacogdoches Hematology Oncology Clinic P.A cuts the red ribbon



The Nacogdoches County Chamber held a May 3, 2007, ribbon cutting for Nacogdoches Hematology Oncology Clinic P.A., located at 1225 N. Mound St.

Dr. Dyanesh Ravindran, his family and staff were at the event to warmly welcome Chamber ambassadors, members and guests. The clinic was open for tours and many people commented on the beautiful building and the thoughtful design, which helps patients feel comfortable during treatments.
