Novelist Alison Moore and Musician Phillip Lancaster will deliver a presentation on "Riders of the Orphan Train." More than 250,000 orphans and unwanted children were put on trains in New York between 1854 and 1929 and sent all over the United States to be given away.

The program is made possible in part by a grant from Humanities Texas, the state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities, and by the Friends of the Nacogdoches Library.
