Hutchison visits and admires Nacogdoches natural beauty

Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison spoke at a reception highlighting the Nacogdoches Azalea Trail on Thursday, March 20, at 10 a.m. at the Sterne Hoya House Museum and Library, 211 S. Lanana. She and her children also enjoyed a tour of the museum, where Bailey found a photograph of her grandmother.

Nacogdoches Mayor Roger Van Horn welcomed guests. Nacogdoches County Chamber Chairwoman Kim Luna Snyder and Convention and Visitors Bureau Chairman Dr. Richard Berry addressed the crowd and thanked Senator Hutchison for visiting Nacogdoches County during this beautiful time of year.

The Senator answered questions from the crowd about issues that included the Trans-Texas Corridor and the state of the nation’s economy.

Note: The Nacogdoches Azalea Trail is March 15-31 and includes 25 miles of beautiful views on three suggested routes through Nacogdoches. Click here for more info on the trail and a bloom status report.

The reception was co-hosted by the Nacogdoches Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce.
