Lake Side Park on Pearl Street was recently stocked with an additional 500 Rainbow Trout including some brutes possibly up to four pounds in weight according to TPWD hatchery staff in Jasper. About a month ago, nearly 800 trout were released for the Kid Fish Tournament held every January.

A limit of five fish per person per day is easily attainable.Light line and liht tackle is the key. Sweet canned corn, in line spinners in various colors, and Berkley Powerbaits have been the most popular baits. These are cool water fish. As the outdoor temperatures increase, their numbers wil decrease.
