First Friday Cruise Night tonight!

Grab the family and hit the red brick streets this Friday, March 5, 2010 from 5-8 p.m.

First Friday Cruise Nights kicks spring off in style, with late night shopping, classic cars, a great film, and live entertainment at Hotel Fredonia. Downtown provides the perfect backdrop to usher in the spring season. Sponsored by the Nacogdoches Main Street Program and the Downtown Business Association, there is plenty to do in downtown the First Friday Night in March.

The Stephen F. Austin State University College of Fine Arts, School of Art and School of Music will premiere a new feature-length film, "Sara's Book," at 7 and 9 p.m. Friday, March 5, in the Ledbetter Gallery of The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House in downtown Nacogdoches. Admission is free and open to the public. The Cole Art Center is located at 329 E. Main St. For more information, please call (936) 468-1131.

The highlight of this month’s Cruise Night may just be parked on the red brick streets near the downtown square. Make sure to bring the kids and your camera’s down to check out the contingents of classic and unique automobiles. Car enthusiasts are invited to cruise into downtown between 5 and 8 p.m. Car clubs, antique cars, boats, and motorcycles welcome. A complete list of participating First Friday Cruise Night merchants will be available on Friday, March 5, 2010 at the Visitor Center, 200 E.
