Nacogdoches Quilters' Guild presents Blueberry Festival of Quilts Show

Every other year in conjunction with the Nacogdoches Blueberry Festival, the Nacogdoches Quilters' Guild presents its Blueberry Festival of Quilts show. This year it will be held Friday June 11, 2010 from 10 am - 6 pm and Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 9 am - 4 pm at the Fredonia Hill Baptist Church, 1711 South Street. The show will be judged and includes many beautiful quilts and quilted items, a merchant mall with about 10 vendors and a country store. There will be several categories and prize ribbons will be awarded to the winners.

Several members of the Guild have been working on a beautiful quilt to be raffled during the next few months. The winner will be chosen at the close of the show while proceeds from the raffle will benefit local charities chosen by Guild members. The Nacogdoches Quilters' Guild is composed of 65 quilters from across the area. They hold meetings on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 pm at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. They are always welcoming new members and visitors, so stop on by!
