Junior League of Lufkin New Actives and September Volunteer of the Month

The Junior League of Lufkin began their year by welcoming the 2009-2010 Provisional Class into active membership at their first meeting on September 14, 2010. Congratulations to Shanelle Stewart, Tracy Jerke, Tamara Day, Laci Driscoll, Vanessa Durham, Donna Quarles, Hilary Walker, Anita Boyd, Brooke Vann, Carrie Iversen, Anna Wyatt, April Earley, Whitney Garza, Tracie Reynolds, Claudia DeArmond, Rebecca Davis, and transfer member Allison James.

Since its beginning in 1953, the Junior League of Lufkin has supported many local projects and has made a positive impact on countless lives in Lufkin. The vision of our organization’s members is to enhance the loives of children and women in our community. To date, the JLL has donated close to $2 million dollars to Angelina County. The Junior League of Lufkin is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism and to imporving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
