Blueberry pancakes loved by all ages

The Kiwanis kicked off the day of the festival by serving thousands of pancakes at the Blueberry Pancake Breakfast.

According to club President Candyce Wagnon, 1,270 people were served and 3,810 pancakes were flipped. That breaks down to 847 pancakes per hour and 282 people per hour.

The club used 20 gallons of milk, 20 dozen eggs, more than 400 lbs. of pancake mix and 37 gallons of blueberries from Hayter's Mill Creek Farm in Nacogdoches.
